
Kyle Wailes
Chief Executive Officer & Board Member
Kyle Wailes has served as Wellvana’s Chief Executive since January of 2022. Prior to joining Wellvana, Mr. Wailes was the Chief Financial Officer of SmileDirectClub, a global leader in tele-dentistry, where he played an essential role in the startup’s success, along with their IPO in 2019. Prior to SmileDirectClub, Mr. Wailes was with Intermedix, a leading provider of technology-enabled services for over 15,000 health care providers, where he served in different leadership capacities beginning in 2012, including as Executive Vice President of Physician Services from 2015-2017, and Chief Financial Officer from 2017 to 2018. Prior to joining Intermedix, Mr. Wailes started his career in healthcare private equity and healthcare investment banking, focusing on health care services and health care information technology companies.
Mr. Wailes graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine and neuroscience and holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Mr. Wailes lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and three kids.

R. Haris Naseem, MD, FACC, FHRS
Executive Vice President, Head of Market Presidents & Board Member
Dr. Haris Naseem has served as Wellvana’s Board Member and Executive Vice President , Head of Market Presidents since April of 2022. Dr. Naseem is a practicing Cardiac Electrophysiologist. Prior to joining the Wellvana team, he was the Co-founder, CEO, and Managing Partner of Prime Holdings, a clinically integrated organization that managed value-based contracts for physicians, which merged with Wellvana in 2022. In addition to his role with Wellvana, Dr. Naseem is currently the Founder and Co-Owner of Sybrid Holdings; Co-Founder of Premier Patient Health Care; Co-Founder and Board Member of Wiseman Innovations; Co-Founder, CEO, and Board Chairman of Summus Health Care; and Co-Founder, CEO, and Board Chairman of DataQ Health Care. Dr. Naseem brings to Wellvana decades of healthcare experience and clinical leadership.
Dr. Naseem graduated with his M.B.B.S. from Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed his residency at the Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center, the University of Connecticut, and the Hennepin County Medical Center. He also completed fellowships in Cardiology, Molecular Cardiology, and Cardiac Electrophysiology from the UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Naseem currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife and 3 children.

Mark Montoney, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Mark Montoney has served as Chief Medical Officer of Wellvana since December 2021. In addition to his role with Wellvana, he is also a Senior Advisor on the investment committee for Martin Ventures. Prior to joining Wellvana he was the Chief Medical Officer of Contessa Health where he led clinical operations in a progressive home recovery care company that was acquired by Amedisys in 2021. Dr. Montoney previously served as the Chief Medical Officer of Tenet Healthcare where he led a network of regional physician executives and collaborated with nursing leadership in driving clinical performance and patient care. Dr. Montoney joined Tenet through its acquisition of Vanguard Health Systems, where he was Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer. At Vanguard, he was responsible for system-wide clinical quality improvement, patient safety, physician alignment strategies and value-based health care delivery. Prior to Vanguard, Dr. Montoney was the System Vice President & Chief Medical Officer of OhioHealth where he also practiced internal medicine and geriatrics.
Dr. Montoney graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a B.A. in Psychology and received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He also holds an M.B.A. from Regent University in Virginia. He lives in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife Amy and they have three grown children.

Adam Holland
Chief Financial Officer
Adam Holland has served as Wellvana’s Chief Financial Officer since August of 2022. Prior to Wellvana, Mr. Holland was the Chief Financial Officer of Tivity Health, a provider of health improvement, fitness, and social engagement solutions serving over 18 million Medicare Advantage members on their path to better health while lowering their cost of care. Mr. Holland played an essential role in Tivity’s sale to Stone Point Capital in June of 2022 which delivered a 155% return to Tivity Health shareholders. Previously, Mr. Holland served as CFO of Kirkland’s, Inc. (Nasdaq: KIRK) with oversight of all financial functions for this specialty retailer operating over 400 stores in 36 states with a growing e-Commerce operation. Mr. Holland started his career with EY in Tampa, Florida working in their assurance and advisory practice focusing primarily on health care clients including hospitals and physician practices.
Mr. Holland graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with both a B.S in Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Florida and lives in Brentwood, Tennessee with his wonderful wife Andrea and two teenage sons.

Katrina M. Howchin-Tucker
Chief People Officer
Her accomplishments span 25 years of partnering with organizations ranging from $900m to $89B, and across four continents. She brings to Wellvana a passion for leading high growth organizations through significant cultural and operational transformations. Ms. Howchin-Tucker has built HR capabilities from the ground up and consistently creates high performing teams and cultures of inclusion and innovation.
Prior to joining Wellvana, Ms. Howchin-Tucker was the Global Vice President of People & Performance at Kraft Heinz where she supported the C-suite leadership team for the Corporate Functions. Ms. Howchin-Tucker is a progressive global HR leader who started her career at Citigroup and quickly achieved leadership roles based in London and New York City. Later, she worked for organizations such as Honeywell, Deloitte Consulting, and SmileDirectClub, developing her capability as a talent leader in organization design and talent assessment. She also provided thought leadership in Change Management and Communications to Chevron and Coca Cola, as a Human Capital Management Consultant.
Born and raised in the UK, Ms. Howchin-Tucker completed her Education in the United Kingdom, achieving her MA (Hons) at the University of Warwick’s Business School. She moved to Nashville in 2012 and now lives in Brentwood, Tennessee with her husband and two daughters.

Sean Henson
SVP, Head of Operations
Sean Henson joined Wellvana as SVP, Head of Operations in March of 2022. Prior to joining Wellvana, Mr. Henson was the Vice President of Imperium Health, one of the first ACO enablement companies, where he played a key role in the Company's consistent recognition as best in Quality and Cost Control, generating over $260,586,051 in savings since 2015.Prior to his role at Imperium Health, Mr. Henson was with Lightbeam Health Solutions, a population health management platform, where he served in several leadership capacities, including as Vice President of Operations/Advisory Services, and Director of Practice Transformation.
Mr. Henson brings to Wellvana with him the experience of managing multiple organizations responsible for over 400,000 patient lives annually across the full spectrum of VBP, including ACO/MA/DCE, etc., while also serving as an executive for multiple ACOs. Mr. Henson studied at Baylor University and currently lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and 2 kids.

Richard Lopez del Rincon
Chief Growth Officer
Richard Lopez del Rincon has served as Wellvana’s Chief Growth Officer since June of 2022. He is responsible for the management and leadership of the Growth functions throughout the organization. Mr. Lopez del Rincon is an experienced general manager, sales, marketing, customer success, and operations executive and entrepreneur. He previously served as General Manager and Senior Vice President at R1 (NASDAQ: RCM), a global leader in technology and business process outsourcing solutions for large healthcare systems and physician practices, where he played a critical role in growing and scaling their physician services organization. Prior to R1, Mr. Lopez del Rincon co-founded CareCloud (NASDAQ: MTBC), a leading healthcare technology company, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer and led triple-digit growth during his tenure. Prior to joining CareCloud, Mr. Lopez del Rincon held several executive-level positions at ADP (NASDAQ: ADP), a human resources software and services organization, and Avisena, a healthcare technology company.
Mr. Lopez del Rincon started his career in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry with Pfizer (NYSE: PFE), focusing on delivering pharmaceutical solutions for institutional and ambulatory provider groups. Mr. Lopez del Rincon graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. Mr. Lopez del Rincon lives in Miami, Florida with his wife and enjoys traveling and spending time with his five children.

Josh Chapman
Chief Marketing Officer
Josh Chapman joined Wellvana as its Chief Marketing Officer in June of 2022. Prior to joining Wellvana, Mr. Chapman served as both the Chief Marketing Officer and the Chief Global Brand Officer for SmileDirectClub. Mr. Chapman led the strategy and execution of building the brand foundations and visual identity around an enormously complex customer journey. He founded the performance marketing team leveraging a $200 million dollar media budget taking them from revenues of $20 million in 2016 to over $600 million in 2021 and securing a multi-billion dollar market cap on the Nasdaq. AS CGBO, Mr. Chapman founded SDC’s product division, generating annual retail sales north of $50 million in year two, and helped create their B2B direct dental network. Prior to SmileDirectClub, Mr. Chapman served as CMO of Tommie Copper, a direct-to-consumer, privately held company, scaling them from a pre-revenue stage to $100 million in less than three years.
Mr. Chapman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the New School University. Mr. Chapman lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, two children, and two dogs.

Scott Lenz, Jr.
Executive Vice President, General Counsel, & Corporate Secretary
Scott Lenz joined Wellvana Health as its Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary in January of 2022. Prior to joining Wellvana, Mr. Lenz was a partner of the law firm Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP in Nashville, Tennessee, where he specialized in healthcare transactions and value-based care models.
Mr. Lenz received his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Central Florida and his law degree from the University of Minnesota, where he was an editor of the law review. He is listed in both The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers.

Phil Harrison
Chief Strategy & Analytics Officer
Philip Harrison joined Wellvana as its Chief Strategy & Analytics Officer in March 2022. Previously, Mr. Harrison was the Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development at SmileDirectClub. At SDC, Mr. Harrison helped scale the direct-to-consumer orthodontics start-up from $20 million in revenue in 2016 to over $600 million in 2021 and a multi-billion dollar market cap on the NASDAQ. At SDC, Mr. Harrison founded and built the Data & Analytics teams as well as the Financial, Planning, and Analysis teams, and led capital markets efforts resulting in over $3 billion raised, including a $1.3 billion IPO on the NASDAQ in 2019. Prior to SDC, Mr. Harrison was a member of the Investment Team at Centerbridge Partners, a private equity fund with $30 billion under management.
Mr. Harrison started his career at Blackstone, where he did Restructuring & Reorganization investment banking. Mr. Harrison graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with High Distinction from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Philip, originally from NYC, now resides in Nashville, TN with his fiancé and their mini dachshund.

Readus Smith
East Regional President
Readus C. Smith III, FACHE joined Wellvana in January of 2021 where he serves as the company’s East Regional President, where he is focused on the expansion and operational success of the GA, FL, SC, and NC markets. Prior to Wellvana, Mr. Smith was the Chief Strategy and Development Officer for Island Doctors MSO, a group of preventative care physician offices throughout Northeast Florida, where he increased patient panel size by 300%. Mr. Smith brings to Wellvana extensive relationships across the healthcare system.
Mr. Smith holds an associate degree from Gwinnett Technical Institute, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis, an M.S. in corporate operations from LaSalle University, and a health law and policy degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. Mr. Smith serves as the General Secretary of Health for the Church of God in Christ and its affiliates worldwide, appointed by the Presiding Bishop’s office. Mr. Smith and his wife currently reside in Jacksonville, Florida where they enjoy spending their time with their 6 children and 6 grandchildren.

Lauren Schiegg
Midwest Regional President
Lauren Schiegg has served as Wellvana’s Midwest Regional President since April of 2022. Prior to joining the Wellvana team, Ms. Schiegg served as the Chief Development Officer for Prime Management Holdings, a clinically integrated organization that managed value-based contracts for physicians, which merged with Wellvana in 2022. Prior to her role with Prime, Ms. Schiegg was the Chief Development Officer for Summus Healthcare, a unique care coordination network of various health companies focused on improving the physician and patient healthcare experience. Prior to her role at Summus, Ms. Schiegg served as the Service Line Director for Premier Patient Healthcare. Ms. Schiegg has completed over 20 acquisitions of medical practices, grew Prime’s value-based markets by over 50%, and transitioned them to full-risk models.
Ms. Schiegg brings to Wellvana over a decade of managing, growing, and operating healthcare companies, particularly in the value-based care space. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. She currently resides in Dallas, Texas with her two teenage children.

Jairo Melo, MD
Co-Founder & Physician Advisor
Dr. Jairo Melo co-founded Wellvana in 2019 and currently serves as the Company’s Physician Advisor. Dr. Melo is an experienced, practicing Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician who is driven by his love for patient care and a healthy medical culture. He co-founded TexasIPS, the largest Pulmonary and Critical care group in Texas, and currently serves as its Medical Director. His goals include the transition to value-based medicine with quality being at the front of all initiatives. In addition, he is the Medical Director for Pulmonary and Critical Care and the Thoracic service line for the Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Melo has worked in Clinical medicine for 25 years, has managed his organization for 15 years, and has extensive experience in both the practice and the business of medicine. In addition, Dr. Melo is also involved as a Board member for the Chest Foundation and Co-founder of the Erin Popovich Initiative Dedicated to patients with interstitial lung disease. He is the Chair of the Graduate Medical Education at the Methodist Hospital San Antonio. He graduated with Honors at The Pontificia Bolivariana University in Medellin, Colombia, and then completed with Internal Medicine Residency (“Best Resident” for 3 consecutive years), Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Texas in San Antonio. He has lived in San Antonio, Texas for the last 30 years with his wife and their three grown children.

Saleh Jaafar, MD
Co-Founder & Physician Advisor
Dr. Saleh Jaafar co-founded Wellvana in 2019 and currently serves as the Company’s Physician Advisor. Dr. Jafaar started his medical practice in Hondo in 1996 after completing his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. While in Hondo, he directed the emergency room for Medina Community Hospital. From Hondo, Dr. Jaafar moved to Castroville and Bandera in 1999 and formed Medcare Associates, a medical practice comprised of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Dr. Jaafar’s goal was to serve the rural communities with the highest level of care with no need for appointments. His motto: The sick can always be seen without the burden of appointments. All patients are welcome and can see one of the many providers on any given day.
Since 1999, Dr. Jaafar has expanded Medcare Associates to also include clinics in Boerne, Utopia and San Antonio. Each clinic is centered around Dr. Jaafar’s goal of optimal patient care with sufficient staff to meet the needs of every patient. Dr. Jaafar enjoys forming a relationship with his patients and is committed to improving their overall health and wellness. His practice is dedicated to the long-term care and treatment of these patients. Dr. Jaafar lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife, Laura, and their three children.
